New Year’s Greetings, Twin Lakes, and Happy 2025!
I’m humbled to be leading the Board of Trustees again this year and hope I can continue to earn your trust. With Jeff Eberle and Issac Henry-Cano in our executive leadership and Tom Coburn as GM, I feel confident in the leadership of the Club and that we will continue the positive momentum built through Bryce’s leadership. I am eager to get started and see what we can collectively accomplish. Twin Lakes is in as good a financial position as I’ve ever seen thanks to the tireless work of Alexis Parrish, Randy Russell and Tom Coburn to cut expenses and manage our money. The golf course is shining in the very capable hands of John Leslie. Kathy and Ben are raising the bar for service and tournaments out of the Pro Shop. I’m grateful for all they do, and we are lucky to have such dedicated staff and volunteers.
I hope you had a chance to come to the club in December, the clubhouse looked beautiful. It takes a team of volunteers to decorate our place; I can’t name them all but wish to thank that group for their contributions year after year. We had a fantastic Ugly Sweater/Trivia Party in the Lounge and plan to have another Trivia night in January – this time sports themed! As you read this, the Clubhouse will be closed for deep cleaning and repairs until January 9th, reopening January 10th for Friday night fun.
I’m happy to share some recent committee chair appointments – Bryce Landrud will be taking over as Membership Chair, Marlies Scott-Wenzel and Casey Gibson are going to co-chair the Social Committee and Ramon Dzubay will serve as the Golf Committee Chair. I’m excited to have them contributing to our club as leaders and want to thank our outgoing Chairs: Frankie Stephens, Suzy Eberle and Alyssa Rieker, for their loyal service to the Club. We are actively seeking members to join the Membership Committee as it is restructured, so please contact Bryce Landrud at bryce@thunderingoak.com if you are interested in serving!
Speaking of membership, The Board has approved a Winter Membership initiative with various Membership types to drive some needed revenue in our winter months (Jan-March). More information is coming, and we hope you will help to share it with your social and golf networks. We are still growing our membership ranks and we need to let all the South Sound know what a great value Twin Lakes is!
There are many ways to volunteer at Twin Lakes. I got my start on the Social Committee in 2017, feeling motivated to give back and invest my time in making the Twin Lakes member experience a good one. I also made some great friends. And who knows? You could be President one day! Volunteering is one way you can make a significant impact on the club by giving your time, whether that’s on Kevin Isherwood’s Monday Morning Crew or volunteering to help set up a Social event, we’d love to have you. Feel free to reach out to me and I’m happy to make a connection: ErikaSBOT@twinlakesgolf.net
Together, let’s have a fantastic year!

Happy New Year, Everyone!
I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to all of you for an incredible 2024. Your warm spirit and volunteerism have greatly contributed to our club’s success. Thanks to everyone’s support and efforts, we have made remarkable progress in our club goals. Special thanks to those who donated their time and materials, enabling us to complete significant projects for the golf course and clubhouse.
A huge thank you to our outgoing board members, Bryce Landrud, Trace Harrell, and Tim Scheuffele for their incredible dedication and service to our club. We sincerely appreciate them being on the board. It’s such a huge commitment of time and work. I want to especially thank Bryce for leading our club as President, I’ve sincerely enjoyed our tenure together.
I would like to welcome our incoming 2025 board members, Alyssa Rieker, Matt Howland and Ramon Dzubay. As we begin 2025 together, let’s continue this positive trajectory. We hope everyone participates in tournaments and social activities. There should be many ways for all of you to enjoy our wonderful club together. If anyone is interested in volunteering or participating in a committee, please reach out to me or any of the committee chairpersons.
Thank you again, I look forward to another fantastic year at Twin Lakes!
Warmest regards,
Tom
Birthdays
Happy New Year to everyone!
The weather throughout December certainly didn’t give us much opportunity to golf this year. With only a couple of days available to enjoy your round of golf, it was nice to be able to see those that came out and wish them a happy holiday season as well as helping those with their last-minute gifts for their friends or loved ones from the golf shop. On those quiet days when the temperatures were a wee bit cold for most, your visits really helped brighten up our days last month.
Congratulations to the Winter Series #2 winning team of Michael & Anne Gintz with Trace & Maribel Harrell. Thank you to those members participating in our “18 Holes of Gol-mas”. The weather somewhat treated us fairly as we got this scramble format with a “Naughty & Nice” theme.
Congratulations to the Winter Series #2 winning teams.

We ended our 2024 season with the annual “New Years Eve” golfing event. We had 52 players come out to help celebrate what used to be Dan & Bill’s NYE Celebration. We kept the “Poison Ball” format along with the individual low net, gross and net skins, and KP’s for this memorable event. We did add a little extra twist this year – a bottle of Prosecco to help influence those birdies. Congratulations to the winning team of Larry Wolf, John Sampson, Mark Judkins and Nick Harding with a -14 130. Our Low Net winner in the first flight was Kent Schwartzenberger with a -7 65. Our Low Net winner for the second flight was Shaun Garrison with a -8 64. Our Low Net winner for the third flight was Larry Wolf with a -8 64. Our net and gross skins and winners can be viewed on golf genius using the GGID tlnye24 along with the other team tournament results.

Happy New Year!
December seemed to be awfully windy. We had the Bomb Cyclone and a handful of other wind events that rapidly deposited tree debris across the course. Thank you to John Leslie and his team for their efforts in cleaning up the course and continuing to maintain excellent conditions during a challenging time of year. Thanks to them, we are fortunate to be able to golf and enjoy the course year-round.
Thanks again to the Monday Morning Maintenance volunteers, led by Kevin Isherwood. This group continues to contribute to the maintenance and beautification of the golf course, even during the busy holiday weeks in December.
We as a committee are excited to continue to work on projects and identify new goals and initiatives in 2025. We will report back in February with any new updates and goals.
We will continue to focus on various items such as:
-Maintenance equipment replacement plan
-Sand bunker rehabs
-Rotted railroad ties removal/replacement plan throughout the course
-Cart path between 320th and Hole 10 tee boxes
-Hole 7 Poplar removal and replacement plan
If you have other ideas you would like the Greens Committee to address, you are always welcome to reach out. For other questions, comments, or concerns please email me at tpac14@gmail.com and I will review with the committee.
Cheers and Happy New Year!
