Dear Twin Lakes Members,
As the leaves turn, cooler air settles in, and the rain takes hold, I want to take a moment to reflect on what an incredible year it has been at Twin Lakes. November brings both gratitude and anticipation—the perfect time to celebrate what we’ve accomplished together and to look ahead to a festive and exciting winter season. Thanksgiving is several weeks away but I am beyond thankful for the staff and volunteers that keep our club running. Twin Lakes operates with a core group of staff members, and we rely heavily on the time and effort of volunteers to keep our facilities functioning. Thank you to all of you who contribute large and small to our club.
I’m excited we have a strong slate of candidates for the Board! Proprietary members should have received an email from Election Runner to vote for 3 candidates – one email per membership, whether individual or family. Per our governing documents, voting lasts 10 days and will remain open until the start of the Annual Meeting on November 12th. Election results will be shared during the meeting. Best of luck to all the candidates! If you have not received your election runner email, please contact me at ErikaSBOT@twinlakesgolf.net or Tom Coburn at tcoburn@twinlakesgolf.net.
We have a packed calendar the last two months of the year. We kicked off November with a fantastic Ladies Day last weekend and this weekend we will have a scotch tasting! Veteran’s Day dinner reservations are still available for a Prime Rib dinner on 11/11. Twin Lakes is honored to provide a complimentary meal to all veterans and thank you for your service.
The Annual Meeting is November 12th at 6:30PM and we have a trivia night coming up on the 21st. The Turkey Trot continues for another year on Thanksgiving morning at 9AM- all members are welcome to come walk or run the front 9 cart paths! We will have snacks and hot beverages for participants and dogs are welcome!
Creatively inclined members can pick up a Gingerbread House kit for our gingerbread decorating contest in December – check your email for more details! The Santa Brunch is a cherished tradition at Twin Lakes, and you won’t want to miss the Festive Sweater and Trivia party in the Lounge. New Year’s Eve party reservations are still open – with a different format this year, come join us!
Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours.
With Gratitude,
Erika Sheffield-Stull
Twin Lakes Board President

Birthdays
Winter is here…..
It has been a pleasure to see members and their guests this past week come out between the raindrops and weather forecasts for a round of golf as well as afternoon practice time. We were able to squeak in the inaugural Twin Lakes Ryder Cup amongst the not so good prediction weather. Once again, it was an absolute hit! We had our 36 members which were broken into three teams (Team Coburn, Team Wake, and Team Bergner). Team Wake won the Twin Lakes Ryder Cup with 18 points. Team Coburn and Wake each had 15.5 to tie. It was Kathy’s tie breaker points with the pro’s that helped pull team red to the finish line. Congratulations to Red Elder, Frankie Stephens, Russ Meyers, Aron DeFaccio, Megan DeFaccio, Sharon Lorenzo, Don Roswell, Zach Johnson, Rich Price, Angela Lee, Josh Kuske, Billy Borjeson Bob Middleton for a job well done!
Going into the winter months with the hours becoming limited, we are going to do our best to limit the closure of the range in the early afternoons. As we enter the wetter months with the range, having to still pick by hand, we would like to remind everyone to call ahead to make sure that the range is open so that you are not disappointed upon arrival. We are going to wait until we absolutely must pick to close the range. With that said, the range may be closed on Wednesdays, Thursdays, or Fridays from 4-5pm if we need to regain supply of balls. Our goal is to use Monday mornings to get the range clean picked for the week during the next couple of months.
Regarding the temperature, it is changing fast, and the early morning golfers can attest to it becoming a little chillier each day. You can check your weather apps as well as the news to find out in advance what the morning temps will be like. A reminder, If we get down to the 30’s, you can count on some type of frost delay. We will do our best to send out a message regarding any time delays, and you can also call the golf shop directly before coming to the golf course. For those diehards, we have a supply of thermos/winter rain gloves that will help keep you warm during your round of golf. We also just got a shipment of rechargeable handwarmers for those that need to use up their credit book money.
We lost our daylight last Sunday. The sun is now setting around 4:40 and dark by 5:30. Please note that the pro shop will start closing around 5:00pm so if you plan on leaving town for golf and need your clubs from storage please plan appropriately.
Reminder to mark your calendar for the Winter Tour Series events. As in the past, we will have four Winter Tour events during the months of November-February. One event is planned each month on the second Saturday of the month with the first one coming up this Saturday. The cost for members is $35 and guests pay $60 which includes breakfast, golf, and competition. This month’s team format is a Modified 666 Shamble. The Live tourney link to this event is https://www.livetourney.com/tournament/66393. You can also click here to go directly to the leaderboard for Saturday to follow along with the players.
Inactive Score Posting Season begins in Washington Golf territory on November 14th. As we approach our Inactive Score Posting Season, we would like to pass along important information regarding the posting of scores: If you play golf during our Inactive Score Posting Season in an area where scores are still being accepted for handicap purposes, you must post those scores as soon as practicable. Your handicap will continue to be revised daily when you post an eligible score, even during the off-season.
WA Golf membership runs through a calendar year, from January 1st through December 31st. For those members that host their GHIN Membership with us, you will see your 2026 fee on the Dec 1 statement. For those of you that want to add/transfer your GHIN number to Twin Lakes, please contact me at kwake@twinlakesgolf.net and your information will be added into the system in January. The cost of the GHIN handicap for 2026 will be $42.
We are finally getting the full PNW fall weather experience: power outages, wind storms, a little sun, and lots of rain. John and his team remain busy working on projects and improving the golf course. In case you missed it, John has sent two emails to membership detailing his efforts to repair some of the diseased areas and also detailed their successful fall aerification process. These emails from John are highly informative and detailed, please check them out if you are interested in learning more about their thorough processes and efforts.
If you have been near the practice area recently, you may have noticed a rebuilt bunker and new and improved sod around the bunker. The crew also added a gravel path that runs from the practice area to the path near the tennis courts.

Upcoming projects and goals::
With the increase of wet weather, emails have been sent to keep golf carts on the cart path for the time being. Please ensure you are following the cart path rules.
For other questions, comments, or concerns please email tpac14@gmail.com and/or ssealey16@gmail.com and we will review with the committee.
Thank you,
Tyler Pac & Stephen Sealey

The lounge was buzzing with excitement as 16 contestants vied for best costume. The judges had a difficult time picking the winner for best female, male and couple from the many imaginative characters parading in front of them. However, at the end – the following winners emerged:
Best female: Brenda for her 1865 period Mad Hatter costume from Alice in Wonderland.
Best Couple: John and Casey Gibson whose costumes portrayed a laid-back Corona Extra male and a gorgeous, sophisticated Martini female.
Absent a single male contestant, judges awarded second prize to couple Bud Normund and his guest, Malfada, portraying a skeleton and a witch, respectively.
Throughout the night, the audience sang along with and danced to their favorite songs played by Karaoke host, American Dreams Entertainment, performed by the many talented club members, including professional entertainer, Danny Quintero, and their guests.
